The Three Little Rats is a slightly twisted version of the Three Little Pigs. Instead of the little pigs and a big bad wolf, this story has three little rats and the farmer's cat. The three little pigs is a very old fable that was first published in the 1800's but the story is even older than that. The first version had three little pixies and a fox.
What would be in your version of the story?

The wonderful illustrations for 'The Three Little Rats' have been done by Paul Nicholls - I especially like the cat.

Tweaking and twisting traditional tales can be a lot of fun... why don't you write a new version of your favourite tale.
You could change the characters or the setting. You could even add new characters or intersting objects.
